Smirk Ceramics is the result of years of experimenting and learning to trust as a ceramicist. This is a collection driven by joy, a love for animals and the outdoors, and a passion for whimsical home goods.
Each piece is built out of stoneware clay by hand (not on a wheel), then carefully painted, carved and glazed, resulting in entirely unique pieces. The star of the show is a series of mugs painted with adorable animals ranging from snowshoe hares to bears, otters and raccoons, really whatever I am feeling like painting that day.
